The Wescom Foundation is committed to building better communities in Southern California. Our Signature Grants—powered by the generous donations of Wescom team members—provide community-based organizations with funds to deliver essential programming in the Foundation's focus areas: Financial Wellness and Critical Human Needs.
We are proud to announce our first three Signature Grantees of 2022: A Place Called Home, House of Ruth, and Thomas House Family Shelter. Each of these outstanding grantees is providing vital services to families in need and is having a tremendous impact in our Southern California communities.
A Place Called Home provides a safe, nurturing environment for at-risk young people in South Central to improve their economic conditions and develop healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives. Wescom Foundation funding will support programs that provide financial literacy training and career counseling for at-risk youth.
House of Ruth is dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence and to ensuring the safety of those impacted by it. Wescom Foundation funding will help connect those affected by domestic violence with emergency, transitional, and permanent housing.
Thomas House Family Shelter provides a safe environment for homeless and at-risk families with children to remain together while empowering them to become independent and self-sufficient. Support from the Wescom Foundation will help fund transitional housing, food, and other critical human needs to help families have a bright future.
We are proud to support programs that address the immediate needs of the community as well as those that give people the tools to achieve economic resilience and financial independence. We encourage our community members to learn more about each of these organizations and we look forward to announcing the Wescom Foundation's second cohort of Signature Grantees in the fall.
