Wescom, which has supported the UCLA community for nearly eight years, unveiled its brand partnership with the 12 student-athletes and head coach of the UCLA Bruins Women's Basketball team last year.
Through this collaboration, Wescom introduced the "Blocks for Bruins" program for the 2023–2024 season for both Men and Women’s Basketball. Wescom will donate $88 to UCLA student support organizations for every block made by the Bruins, up to $25,000. At the end of the season, any funds raised through Blocks for Bruins will be equally distributed between CPO Food Closet, Economic Crisis Response Unit, and Bruin Hub – three campus nonprofits that help address food insecurity, financial hardship, and student well-being.
As of February 13, 2024, the Bruins have made more than 185 blocks, generating $16,500+ for these important causes!
Wescom is cheering on the team as they head to the Pac-12 Woman’s Tournament, which begins on March 6th. You can check out their 2023-24 stats here. As a current #2 seed in the NCAA Tournament with an average GPA of 4.0, this team excels both on and off the court.
By supporting the trailblazing success of the UCLA Women's Basketball team, Wescom hopes to inspire more women and girls to pursue their dreams through sports.
