Use Your Wescom Visa® Credit Card as Overdraft Protection | Wescom Credit Union

Overdraft Protection is a Wescom service that safeguards your account if you exceed your available balance with a check or debit card purchase. If you exceed your balance, Overdraft Protection covers the overage amount by automatically transferring the needed funds from another account. Members can select up to three accounts including Savings, Personal Line of Credit, and now, your Wescom Visa® Credit Card. It’s just another way we’re making your everyday banking easier.

Here’s how:

  1. Log in to Online Banking.
  2. From the Accounts dashboard, select Account Center.
  3. Select the account Overdraft Transfer Protection to set up with Overdraft Protection from the drop-down menu.
  4. Select as the last or only overdraft source.
  5. Click Submit.

If you choose to overdraft from your credit card, it must be selected as the last or only overdraft source.
