Wescom Credit Union | Building Better Lives for Southern Californians

Safeguarding Member Accounts Is Our Top Priority

At Wescom, our mission is to help build better lives and we strive to do that by exceeding your expectations in everything we do. Central to that is our commitment to protecting your deposits and personal data as we continue to innovate for your everyday banking needs.

Our top-rated mobile apps and online banking allow you to complete worry-free transactions quickly. Wescom members can make secure digital payments on their credit cards, personal loans, auto loans and mortgages from any external financial institution account. Members can send and receive money to friends and family through Zelle®, manage their Wescom cards through the Card Center, set up Account Alerts, and so much more.

While we realize the importance of these features and the growing number of members who rely on these tools, we are also acutely aware of cybersecurity threats, including recent ones within the credit union industry. We would like to assure members that Wescom takes matters of security very seriously.

We employ extensive and sophisticated measures to protect our members’ deposits, information, and the Credit Union from threats. We are always scanning for fraud and other criminal attempts. We leverage state-of-the art technology to support our members with easy-to-use, personalized, and reliable digital experiences. Our highly trained staff uses the latest security measures and tools to ensure the safety of your information and money. We maintain a resilient architecture with multiple layers of security. In addition, we continuously educate our team members on how to stay vigilant against the latest threats.

By maintaining multiple layers of defense and regularly updating our security measures, we can effectively guard against emerging cyber threats. Learn more about how we can work together to keep your account secure by visiting our Security Center.

Additionally, you may have experienced an outage during a short period on June 24, 2024 and July 12, 2024, that impacted our mobile, online, and core systems. This was caused by internal system maintenance activity, not external attempts to access your account information. We apologize for any inconvenience these temporary outages caused.

Thank you for your membership and the trust you have placed in your Credit Union. We will continue to innovate for your everyday banking while leveraging advanced security solutions and personalized digital experiences to build better lives.
