Wescom Credit Union | Building Better Lives for Southern Californians

Putting Continuous Improvement at the Forefront

A Special Message from our President and CEO, Darren Williams

October 2021

The difference when banking with Wescom is that we put your needs first. When we offer new products and services, we make sure that we are delivering value to enhance your banking experience with us – and that goes for our existing products and services, too. Our commitment to continuous improvement is how we have been able to help Southern Californians build better lives for nearly 87 years.

This is how we are taking member engagement to the next level and staying competitive in today’s market to continue to serve Southern California for another 87 years. When we launched Signature Membership more than a decade ago, it served the needs of our members at that time. It was our way of rewarding our most engaged members for turning to Wescom for their banking needs. We realize that the way members bank with us has changed, even more so through the pandemic. The banking landscape has changed, too. In order to make sure we continue to deliver value to your banking experience and remain competitive in the industry, we are making some significant changes to Signature Membership starting in 2022. We heard your feedback and we are introducing a simplified program that focuses on rewards. Wescom will offer free checking for all members. While other financial institutions have requirements to qualify for account fee waivers, ours is simply free. We have also removed the minimum balance on savings and the fee for overdraft transfers for frictionless, everyday banking. This is how we are taking member engagement to the next level and staying competitive in today’s market to continue to serve Southern California for another 87 years.

When we consider your needs first and put continuous improvement at the forefront, we are able to provide the best possible service to our members while appealing to a new generation of members. We know that the work we do today to help Southern Californians build better lives will have a positive impact on your financial future.
