After International Credit Union (ICU) Day on October 17, 2025, I want to take a moment to thank you, our members. You are the reason Wescom Financial exists. Your trust, loyalty, and engagement fuel our mission and inspire us to serve with heart, purpose, and innovation every single day.
ICU Day is more than a celebration of the credit union movement; it’s a reminder of what makes credit unions like Wescom different. Unlike banks, we’re not driven by profits or shareholders. We’re driven by people. Our members are our owners, and that means every decision we make is with your best interest in mind. We exist to help you build better financial futures, and we’re proud to do so with integrity, care, and community at our core.
This year, we updated our name. While our look may be evolving, our roots remain strong. We are, and always will be, a credit union. Our commitment to cooperative values, member service, and community impact is unwavering.
This past year reminded us of the power of community in the face of adversity. The devastating Southern California fires hit close to home, affecting many of our members, team members, and neighbors. In response, Wescom stepped up. Through a two-week giving campaign, the Wescom Foundation and Credit Union donated more than $273,000 in direct support. Our Consumer Lending Department also provided 75 emergency loans totaling $283,000 and 81 loan deferments. And to support our own team members, we created a $100,000 employee relief fund.
Looking ahead, I’m honored to announce a new partnership with ForgiveCo to help support $10 million in debt relief for those impacted by the fires. Through special acts of kindness, individuals will be selected to receive debt forgiveness, without tax liability, offering meaningful relief and hope.
To help share this initiative, we’ve partnered with UCLA Women’s Basketball Head Coach Cori Close, a California native and National Coach of the Year. Her voice and leadership will help amplify our mission and connect with communities across impacted areas.
As we approach the holidays, we’re preparing for Member Appreciation Season in December. It’s our time to celebrate you and thank you for choosing Wescom. We’ll be sharing special surprises and heartfelt messages to show just how much you mean to us.
