That’s right – Wescom has NO NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) fees! What’s a NSF fee? It’s when an item, like a check or electronic debit, is presented for payment against your account when there’s insufficient funds available, and the item gets returned unpaid.
“At Wescom, we believe in doing what is right for our membership,” said Ralph Bautista, Vice President of Deposit Operations. “This is why we have decided to no longer participate in the practice of charging a fee for a transaction that did not create an overdraft balance.”
Other financial institutions typically charge a fee for this, but here at Wescom, we don’t!
“A very large percentage of financial institutions still participate in this very outdated and unpopular practice of charging NSF fees,” said Ralph. “Some banks say they don’t charge NSF fees, but that is because they do not offer checking accounts that would result in an unpaid debit.
