Every April, Wescom joins other credit unions in celebrating the spirit of the credit union movement with younger members during National Credit Union Youth Month.

During this month-long celebration, we encourage our members to help us plant the seeds of financial well-being for our youth. When you open a new Wescom Youth Banking or Youth Banking Plus account by April 30, 2023, your little sprout will get a FREE garden kit.1

To open an account online or at a branch you’ll need:

  • A parent or legal guardian to act as a joint owner on the account
  • $1.00 minimum deposit to Youth Savings Account
  • Your youth’s Tax ID Number and one of the following forms of identification for the child2:
    • School I.D. Card
    • California State I.D. Card or Driver’s License
    • U.S. Passport
    • Birth Certificate
  • Open an Account
