5 Ways to Protect Your Money Right Now
Keep Tabs on Your Account
Financial fraud can impact anyone, at any time. Here are five ways you can do more to protect yourself from becoming a victim.
- Check your bank and credit card statements regularly in the mobile app or Online Banking.
- If your credit or debit card is lost or stolen, visit the Card Center in the mobile app or Online Banking to temporarily block your card or report it as lost or stolen.
- Avoid free trial offers on subscription-based products. These companies are hoping that you’ll forget to return the product or cancel after the free trial, or make it hard to do so.
- Sign up for Wescom's free Account Alerts to notify you via text or email about activity on your account.*
- If you receive a call, text, or email asking you for personal information, visit wescom.org/Security-Center to report the fraudulent message or call us at 1-888-4WESCOM (1-888-493-7266) to let us know. Know that Wescom will never call you to ask for your information, a security code you may have received via text or email, passwords, your account number, debit card number, credit card number, or online banking credentials.
